An anniversary is a special day in a couple’s life. It is a day to stop and ponder over both joyous and unhappy moments’ that you have spent with each other. Whether its’ your first anniversary or the fiftieth one, each one has a special meaning and significance in your life.  Of course, an anniversary demands celebration and gifts. You can either choose to celebrate this day with each other (romancing with each other) or throw a party to include others in your joy, depending on your preference.

Anniversary activities are generally meant to be fun and interesting. A wedding anniversary, for example might involve speeches as well. Usually folks will stand up to speak on the nature of their friend’s marriage, whether or not they thought that the couple would make it and perhaps end up with a joke or two. You can also recreate the wedding reception, with activities similar to what occurred at the reception years before. The couple can have another cake cutting ceremony and perhaps a renewal of their vows.

The couple can also dress themselves in the same attire they had worn for their marriage. It will give them a feeling of getting married again. The couple can invite all the people, whom they had called for the reception, so as to recreate the same atmosphere. The party can be arranged in a lawn or in the home as well. If you are planning to organize the party at home then you can try to have a wall mural painted with your best wedding photo. It will become the focal point of attraction and you will cherish it for years to come. Another idea could be to have personalized anniversary banners for the party.

You can also think of engraving personal messages on the cutlery items, so that the guests can gauge the depth of love and care that you guys have for each other.  Anniversary activities can simply be eating from an exotic or fun menu. Guests may enjoy eating from fondue pots or you could hire a Sushi chef to come home and prepare dinner with a flourish. You can personalize this by including the same items that were served on your wedding reception. Think of how lovely this will look!

Games also make fun anniversary activities. They can get guests involved and moving. It’s probably a good idea to choose games based on who your guests are. For example, if its’ your fifth wedding anniversary, so you may not have children present and there will be mostly young couples. So you can prepare a list of cheeky questions to be asked from the couples. It might be anything about their first night or the brand of lingerie or about their honeymoon etc.

Anniversary activities involve a lot of fun and thought. If you organize them in a proper manner, then your party will surely be a success.
